Borrrrrred...
Right now it's 1am Thursday. I just finished watching "In Her Shoes". It might seem kind of strange to watch a movie by myself on a Wednesday night at 11pm. But I worked last night, so I slept till like 3pm Wednesday. And I could have gone to bed when Drew went to bed around 10ish, but I've done that before, and I usually wake up around 3 in the morning not tired and with nothing to do. So I figured I'd take advantage of Netflix and get a girly movie Drew probably wouldnt mind if I watched without him, and watch it. So hopefully when I go to bed, I'll be able to sleep more normally.
I think I said in my last entry that I'm on 2 weeks of nights now. My schedule the past few days hasn't been that bad like I thought it would be. Originally I was supposed to work Monday night 11-7, then Wed night 11-7, which I thought was kind of stupid cause my sleep schedule would be all messed up and it just makes more sense to put night shifts together rather than spacing them out. Well Tuesday night someone called out sick, so they called me when I was sleeping and asked if I would come in that night rather than Wednesday, which worked out pretty good. I haven't been on nights for a while, over a month I think, but it's sort of nice to do it again. Nights are a lot slower and its a different feel and pace, and (usually) things aren't as crazy. I know I've talked about it before, but the downside of nights for me is that for that 2 or 3 week period I feel like I can't really do normal things, like go to the gym because my body is usually so tired even after sleeping all day, and you can't really have a normal schedule.
What was nice about working Tuesday night is Tracy was working overnight at her hospital too, so she called me at like 2am and we talked for like 20 min it was really nice! I miss everyone from school :( It would be really awesome if we could all coordinate a time to go back to QU, Tracy said she was going next weekend or something, but if like all the nursing girls could that would be awesome.
So next month Drew is finished with all his finals, I think the third week in May. Unfortunately I have to work my night weekend that weekend, but the weekend AFTER that I have off so we are trying to think of some place beacy/warm/sunny/fun to go for a little vaca, like 4 or 5 days, to celebrate the end of law school year #1! So far we've kind of ruled out Disney again because while I miss it soooooo bad and want to go back like WHOA, we are trying to keep it relatively non-expensive. We're sort of using my tax return to pay for it so thats nice its like money I never had so why not spend it on a trip! Also, Disney for just like 4 days is kind of a tease, and I think Carribbean Beach was all full the weekend we would be going, and I dont really want to say in one of the economy resorts, aaaand all the other ones are too expensive haha. So, the ideas we have come up with so far are Florida, Las Vegas, Puerto Rico? (cause its Carribbean-ish and you don't need a passport which I don't have), and I was thinking maybe like San Diego or the OC in California if we could afford it, but I'm not sure. In each place there would be a friend to see- Carmen in Florida hopefully, Becca in Vegas, and JBeanz in Cali! So we're still deciding/looking on expedia and travelocity. I have to make sure I can get the paid days off from work too.
On a completely random thought - I'm really excited for baseball season to start for the Red Sox especially. Apparently, because my hospital is the "official hospital of the Boston Red Sox" I can bring my ID to a certain gate at Fenway 30 min after a game starts and get two tickets if there any available for $5 a piece. So since it's not that big of a deal taking the train there, I figure we can try it a lot this season since we didn't try last summer. The people at work who have tried it said sometimes they got tickets and sometimes they didn't. I'm sure it all depends on how popular the team is that they are playing that day.
Alllllllright... I can't really think of anything else to ramble on about, so I might as well suck it up and go to bed. I'm not really sure that I feel tired but theres not too much else to do so...... on that note...... goodnight!
